https://depenguin.me provides a one-liner OS install for FreeBSD, secured by your SSH keys.

It can be run from within Linux rescue environments.

Run a short command, ssh in a few minutes later, then install FreeBSD with ZFS on root, or recover a ZFS array.

No USB keys. No install disks. No passwords.

We would use funding to pay development and testing time, rent servers to test compatibility, and explore other platforms like ARM. We also need to test multiple providers.

We need at least 1000 Euros to test most servers on Hetzner for a single month rental. (note: cancelling so many after one month will result in being penalised over ordering any more!) We need at least 2000 Euros to test all Hetzner products (but not ARM). Triple or more these figures to cover people hours and other providers. We could build ARM solution too, however it's expensive and we need both available products to test.
