My work supports content management. I write plugins for WordPress and modules for Drupal. I have a background project of an easy to deploy static site generator to give small site owners a flexible turnkey option that follows the best practices for responsive design, SEO and marketing. Sponsorship frees me up to do what I love to do: write code that solves problems.
I want to drive technology that is easy to use. Likewise, I want to build tools that help others. I want my work to be free for others to use and the sponsorship approach will allow me to devote more time to building and sharing my work.

Stasis Research
I am working on a static site generator that I have given the protem name of "Stasis" ( https://github.com/dewolfe001/stasis ). I am in the research phase of this product. It's goals:

  • Easy to deploy for users
  • Friendly for web designers
  • Fast build times for new editions
  • Edition and revision tracking
  • Good responsive design practices
  • Good SEO practices
  • Allow for good marketing rules (messaging, calls-to-action, etc.).
Sponsorship will me carry out my research on this project. Sponsors will be given early access and help with their Stasis deployments. What else would you want?

The WordPress lab
I like to build plugins. I do a lot of custom plugins for clients. Support for this tier will fund my research. With enough support, I can begin dedicated "Lab days" where all I do is build WordPress plugins. As a sponsor, you would be able to suggest and influence new plugins for me to develop. I would build them out with you in mind. If these plugins have a premium / freemium component, you, as a sponsor, would be given full access to premium version of that plugin.

Documentation Blitz
Open Source projects are changing our world. These products need solid documentation: end user documentation, developer documentation and integration documentation. By supporting this tier, you would be funding dedicated time for documentation writing. Each $80 would buy 90 minutes of research and technical writing. Sponsors would be able to name which projects I take on for documentation. Likewise, more detail could go into the sub-section of our documentation to suit our sponsors.
I am most familiar with PHP, JavaScript, CSS and HTML. Those are the projects I would take on to document.
