Become a sponsor to Just van den Broecke
Hi, I am Just van den Broecke from The Netherlands. Developing Open Source software for over 20 years. Was very lucky to have my first job (for 11 years) at AT&T Bell Labs/Lucent where I learned so much from the gurus like James O. Coplien -Cope there: from Unix and C/C++ to software design (Design Patterns!), configuration management, code quality and much, much more. Basically, becoming a professional Software Engineer.
From there became an independent under the Just Objects trading name (yes, Object Oriented Design was hot at the time). At first mostly Java guru and software architect, later fully hooked on the (Open Source) geospatial (GIS) domain and in particular Python and JavaScript. Joined the OSGeo.org community since 2006, leading the Dutch OSGeo.nl Foundation, yes in spare time. Need more detail? I give a yearly overview of my software development and OSGeo-community activities in my blog.
So why should you sponsor me? Foremost I try to contribute to in various ways to Open Source geospatial projects that many find useful. My GitHub profile is quite "green", looking at 2021 GitHub contributions:
Featured projects are below. Most of this is done, yes, unpaid. In contracts that I take I usually try to bend that any generic components are contributed back to the community. That takes some extra effort. So when you sponsor me, this work can be continued. Let me know which project/feature has your special interest!

SelectThis looks low, but I consider this as your token of appreciation 👍 . You basically buy me a coffee ☕ . That is great, I love coffee (no I don't say "cup of Java")! This could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship 😄 .
$10 a month
SelectThis is 120,- a year. A fair amount. I get many of these small "help" requests I simply don't have time for. With this amount you get my help or small feature implemented.
$100 a month
SelectGreat, for this amount I can get your largish features, that take like 10-20-30 hours to implement. Let's talk!
$500 a month
SelectThis is a hefty amount. You'll be a principal "Patron" 🥇 . With this amount we can get real work done 🧱 . Let's both set out the path and your goals 🥅 !
