I am currently working with my advisor on two different projects related to the challenges presented by the exascale era into which computing as a general field just entered.

As part of the group at the University of Oregon, working on the productivity aspect of the Interopable Design of Extreme-scale Application Software, I am looking at how "fast, easy, and portable application development" can be supported through the use of docker containers.

For the second project, I am looking at how to use the LLVM compiler infrastructure to set-up an extensible static code quality analysis tool, but which is completely out-of-the-tree of the main LLVM project. The name of the project is codepurrfect and I work mainly on the static sub-directory.

Reaching this goal will keep me motivated to finish my area exam---the second of three thresholds which Computer and Information science Ph.D. students have to cross on their way to earning their degree. This will help me narrow down my research area further.
