I am an open-source enthusiast and master of IT-Systems-Engineering who currently lives in an eco-village in a yurt.
Most of my maintenance and development is offline and on a smartphone, pushing the edge of what is sustainably possible - to live in and with nature and with the digital tools. Inclusion and access to technology is what I value.
At the moment, I maintain software that allows Python developers to easily integrate events shared in the open ICalendar standard. (Open Web Calendar, python-recurring-ical-events, x-wr-timezone)
I have several other projects on GitHub and GitLab that are useful and need maintenance.
With your support, I can continue the work on the projects while leading a low-impact life.
- Just 1$/€/... per month is a motivation that the hours work I give freely matter to someone!
- 10$/€/... per month will sustain a day of our families' basic costs like food
- 100$/€/... per month can cover server/hardware costs and progressing on issues that benefit everyone.
If you ever integrate one my of libraries into commercial software, consider giving back. I believe in gift-economy and also that many people are stuck in fear-based exchange. Together with my partner, different networks and groups we live, envision and drive further a more integrated way of living. We also offer counseling for governance, friction-reduced culture, conflict engagement, systems building and non-violent communication.
Here is a picture, programming in a yurt, off-grid, solar powered, re-used hardware. We can make a difference.
