Some of the most important open-source projects and organizations online are underresourced. And research and design tend to be underrepresented, even for some of the most-used software. As a result, usability decreases, the cost of product development increases, and the people needing your software suffer the most.

Our mission is to make causes in the public interest as successful as possible through research, design, engineering, media, strategy, and independent software development.

Our members include individuals that have worked with organizations and projects including but not limited to, Signal, The Tor Project, Riseup.net, OnionShare, Snowflake, and more.

We've worked on all aspects of the software ecosystem, from research and user-centered design, front-end development and accessibility, back-end development, infrastructure, and security and privacy engineering.

We also maintain popular products like Semiphemeral, a service to automatically delete your old Twitter activity, and relay.love, a beautiful browser-based interface for running a temporary Tor Snowflake proxy.
