When a HDFS cluster is created it should automatically create some common directories that are required for normal operations. Examples of this would be /tmp with 1777 permissions.

Applications relying on the global namespace like this seems.. non-ideal. Can we do better here, like a CRD to set up per-application/per-usecase chroots?
