Sometimes API requests over lazy network connections will just fail forcing annoying message boxes to be shown:

  • disable message boxes (use tray icon instead?)
  • fix reconnection

Also, it might be relevant to close the connection after every API call as I received the feedback that it was not designed to be persistent - see also: stdevel/katprep#106
