Is there anyway to fine tune the .pt available models for a custom dataset?

Sure, you can load the models using the yolov7 code base from WongKinYiu and follow thw guide on freezing layers here for instance https://docs.ultralytics.com/yolov5/tutorials/transfer_learning_with_frozen_layers/
