Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.

I recently began using the t3 stack with the Cursor AI IDE for projects.
One of my biggest frustrations has always been setting up Cursor to be most useful as a code companion.
Originally, I go to cursor.directory to find a prompt that closely matches the codebase's structure and then I modify it. But eventually I landed with one that worked so I began copying and using it for all my t3 projects.

The repeated copying, modifying e.t.c, is not ideal.

Describe the solution you'd like to see

I wish to see a .cursorrules file added to my new CRT3A project by default when I setup a project.

Describe alternate solutions

  • Copying the prompt I used in my old projects
  • Getting new prompt from cursor.directory and modifying it
