So Fedora/RHEL just added PowerPC64 (both big and little endian variants) to their primary build architecture. This is because OpenPOWER is producing a lot of server hardware now, and they're coming close to giving intel a run for their money.
We should make sure we can build successfully on these architectures. I don't have hardware to test, beyond the Fedora infrastructure though. Does anyone have access to a POWER8 system?
