Looks like they changed something in the HA 2024.10 release to spit out warnings like this. Technically these are not errors - they are just ways of coding logic that is not "conformant" to HA developer standards. It is also generating warnings for code comments! Kind of odd, so I opened issue 127607 with HA Repository to see if someone left a test settings active for the PROD release. Will keep you posted - thanks for the heads up. |

@ovizii It appears something changed with Python 3.12.x recently that turned these “used to be ignored” syntax warnings into actual warnings that wind up in the HA System Log! This is due to invalid escaped characters in various string comments that are used for documentation purposes (e.g. “”" this is a code comment “”"). Completely my issue, HA is not at fault. Still wondering what changed though in HA 2024.10.0 to cause them to start appearing. Anyway, I released a new version of the SpotifyPlus integration that should take care of the issue.
