In a nutshell, http://kdm-manager.com simplifies and automates the administrative tasks (i.e. paperwork) associated with managing a campaign of Monster.

The tool has three main views:

  • Settlement Sheet
  • Survivor Sheet
  • Campaign Summary

The first two views are about what you'd expect: streamlined representations of the paper Settlement and Survivor record sheets included in the game box.

Unlike their paper analogues, however, the Settlement and Survivor Sheets in the Manager enforce minimum and maximum values (e.g. max Survival points, Disorders and Fighting Arts, etc.) and automate certain bookkeeping tasks: marking a survivor dead on their Survivor Sheet, for example, automatically increments the death count on the Settlement Sheet.

Automation works the other way, as well: while increasing weapon mastery to 3 adds that weapon's specialization to the individual Survivor's abilities, increasing that same mastery to 8 adds that weapon's mastery to the Survivor's abilities and also adds that weapon's specializations to all other survivors in the settlement.

The Campaign Summary view does not have a paper analogue. It is a dashboard for the campaign that presents the most important information about a Settlement alongside a panel for organizing and managing Survivors. It is not editable and is intended for all players to be able to view.

Though it indexes and organizes campaign information, http://KDM-Manager.com is more than an archival, recording or sharing tool. Rather, the Manager's purpose is to redesign/reimagine the game's in-box materials, automate the game's bookkeeping and administrative overhead and streamline the experience of managing and sharing campaign materials.
