In the merge method, you reset hit_counter, but if the object is lost in the following frames, the object dies while hint_counter was maybe at 200 before the reset. I just wondering why or if I am completely wrong :)
Here is 2 prints, one before the merge and one after. In my case this object (id=1) always dies. That's why I am asking this question.
