I ran Prokka for gene annotation and observed that the software annotated a gene as tetA. However, when I submitted the same gene sequence to CARD and ResFinder, it was identified as tetB with 99% identity. Even RAST annotation identified it as tetB not tetA.
The annotation discrepancy between Prokka and CARD/ResFinder/RAST suggests that Prokka might be incorrectly identifying the gene as tetA, when it actually corresponds to tetB. Could you please investigate this issue or advise on how to improve the annotation process in such cases? TN_paper_data_contig_12.zip
I have attached the relevant FASTA file for your reference.
