The edit device page gives you access to all the details pertaining to a specific device. You are able to edit parameters ranging from the devices name to its update rates.
The first parameter you can edit is the devices name. A device name can only contain letters, numbers, underscores, dashes, spaces, periods and it must start with a letter or number.
The site and location are explained in the user's guide specifically in the dashboard page overview. Changing the site or location will move the device to be contained within the new selection.
The open time is the time the device should open the covering system and the close time is the time the device should close the covering system.
The server only allows sixty communications/connections per minute per device to prevent denial of service (DOS) attacks. So the three communications types device update, image update, and sensor update must not pass sixty updates per minute.
The update rate is the interval the device posts and gets configuration data in seconds. The data ranges from open and close times to current commands like open and close.
The image rate is the interval in which the device sends images to the server in seconds.
The sensor rate is the interval in which the device sends sensor data to the server in seconds.
1a) Go to Edit Device using the Dashboard

2) Edit the Open Time
input field with the time you want the device to open at
3) Edit the Close Time
input field with the time you want the device to close at
4) Click the Save
button

2) Click the Logs
button on the dropdown menu
3) You will now be on the Activity Log page
- Go to Manage Users
- Click the
Edit
button located in the actions column
- You are now on the edit user page
- Edit the
User Role
dropdown field with the role you want the user to have
- Click the
Save
button

button to the right of the specific device you want to edit
3) You are now on the edit device modal
- Follow Go to Manage Devices
- Click on the specific device’s name you want to edit
- Scroll down beneath the detailed device info and click the orange edit device button
- You are now on the edit device page
