Missing products to select in carts

Describe the bug
I checked the the new carts feature on https://try.vendr.net/ but it doesn't seem to show any products to select from? Is it because it is running in trial mode or is something missing on the index?

@bjarnef I've got a funny feeling this is a core issue somehow.

The default product adapter uses the internal lucene index to search for products and it looks like on a fresh app recycle the queries aren't working, but giving the lucene index a rebuild makes it all work again so I'm not entirely sure why it's not working on the first run 🤔
