If I wanted to find out which exact code version is deployed, how would I do that?

Would it be useful to expose e.g. the git commit id somewhere (perhaps the API)?

Pointers/ideas:

  • CodeBuild exposes the commit id as env var CODEBUILD_RESOLVED_SOURCE_VERSION
  • Django RF spectacular can add tags to the exposed API doc (openapi.json)
