Binding trouble

Alright, so I have a ListView:

    <ListView ItemsSource="{Binding Collection}" Foreground="White" Background="#303030">
        <ListView.ItemTemplate>
            <DataTemplate x:DataType="md:ModEntry">
                <local:ModItem Entry="{Binding}" Foreground="White"/>
            </DataTemplate>
        </ListView.ItemTemplate>
    </ListView>

With Collection being an array of 300+ ModEntrys.
(Yes, I'm sure it is populated properly)

Then in ModItem.xaml.cs I have

        public static readonly DependencyProperty EntryProperty = DependencyProperty.Register(
            nameof(Entry), typeof(ModEntry), typeof(ModItem), new PropertyMetadata(null, EntryChanged));

        private static void EntryChanged(DependencyObject d, DependencyPropertyChangedEventArgs e)
        {
            var sender = (ModItem)d;
            if (e.NewValue is not ModEntry val)
                return;

            sender.ViewModel.Entry = val;
        }

        public ModEntry Entry
        {
            get => (ModEntry)GetValue(EntryProperty);
            set => SetValue(EntryProperty, value);
	}

The question is, why is e.NewValue a completely different type??

Thanks for the report! Is it working in the YourProject.Windows? Could you provide a full repro sample for this, so we can open an issue as needed?
