Contributing Guidelines

Contributing

Contributions are always welcome! Here's a step-by-step guide on how to contribute:

  1. Fork this repository to your GitHub account.

  2. Clone your forked copy of the project to your local machine:

    git clone https://github.com/your-username/jobproject.git
  3. Add a remote reference to the original repository:

  git remote add upstream https://github.com/usha-madithati/esmart.github.io
  1. Verify the upstream and origin remotes are correctly set:
      git remote -v
  2. Sync your fork with the original repository to ensure you are up-to-date:
    git pull upstream main
  3. Create a new branch for your feature or bug fix:
    git checkout -b <your-branch-name>
  4. Make your desired changes to the code base. Ensure your changes adhere to our coding standards.
  5. Track your changes:
    git add .
  6. Commit your changes with a clear and concise commit message:
    git commit -m "Your relevant commit message here"
  7. Push your committed changes to your remote branch on GitHub:
    git push -u origin <your-branch-name>
  8. Submit a Pull Request (PR) by navigating to the repository on GitHub where you forked the project. Click on "Compare & pull request" to start the process.
