Confused about auto logout #152
Comments
It's a bug in Thunderbird, that stores server authentication credentials in memory ones it was logged in and logout doesn't seem to clear them from memory. This feature was useful in firefox though. |

I installed this extension to be able auto logout/lock the thunderbird client after the specified amount of time in case I forget to do it myself on my shared computer.
Auto lock tab settings seems to do the job just fine.
But I am confussed what is the purpose of the auto-logout? It does not seem to do anything at all. Apparantely it logs out something that is called "Master Security Device (MSD)" but what is it?
