What happened?

Im not sure if this is the correct place to post about this since this issue is not really a glitch or bug.

When I unplug the USB stick that Ventoy is installed on after I booted into Ventoy it obviously crashes.
I would like to know if theres a way to stop that from happennig maybe by making it load itself to RAM.

8GB is not enough to store all my images so I have the rest sored on a second (1TB) drive.
There is so much data on there that theres no way for me to turn that into a ventoy drive.
Usally when I need to boot a diffrent image I just also plug in that drive and select the image.
However some (old) conmputers only have 1 working usb port. So thats why I would need to unplug the usb stick to plug in my other drive to boot an image from there.

I couldn't find a solution to this anywhere every search I did Just gave me information about memdisk mode which is not what I need because that loads the image to ram and not ventoy so ventoy would still crash.

Thanks in advance.
