How to open a link within Hyper (and not the default browser)

On MacOs Big Sur 11.6.2. I've not used Hyper in a long while, but I remember last time I've used it, I was able to open web links within Hyper itself. That functionality doesn't seem to work for me anymore, has it been removed? If not, is there configuration I need to set in place for this to work? Not using any plugins, and also tried the hyperlinks plugin, clicking on a link always opens it in the chrome browser.
