One of the tasks with Monitor consists in examining all causes of divergence between a relation and its state that was recorded as the previous "current version", then resetting the reference to the new "current version". Resetting the reference requires a sequence of actions that could be made shorter.

May I suggest that if you group #291 and #354, then you might wish to consider #353 as part of the cluster?
