The <picture> tag in <a-image> and <a-image-preview>

Hi, is it possible instead of the <img> tag in <a-image> and <a-image-preview> to output an image that is selected by the browser using the <picture> tag?
I tried to write the output of different formats of the same image using <picture> in <template #placeholder>, for example:

     <picture>
          <source type="image/webp" :srcset="require('../assets/img/pic1.webp')">
          <img :src="require('../assets/img/pic1.jpg')">
     </picture>
</template>

but this only works until the image specified in <a-image> is loaded.
