How to properly add new equipment (docker instance)?

I have a self-hosted instance I want to use with my powerstation only. The powerstation comes with a variety of equipment which I'd like to add to wger. Several issues arise:

• I can only add equipment in one language. If I add "Fußschlaufen" (foot harness), I see no way to translate this piece of equipment. It is "Fußschlaufen" in every language.

• The new equipment is shown as "server.equipment_name", e.g. "server.fußschlaufen" in the exercise webpage.

• Android app doesn't like new equipment, see Adding equipment to self-hosted wger instance reults in visual errors in android app (grey screen) #1626

Is there a proper way to add equipment? I've tried GUI or SQL command to no avail. Editing existing equipment has the same result
