I'm reaching out for help with a bidirectional sync issue I'm experiencing across my PC and Apple Mac computers when using the Zotero Better Notes plugin. Here's a detailed breakdown of the problem and what I suspect might be happening:
Environment:
PC: Zotero with Better Notes plugin, syncing to Obsidian vault at D://Obsidian/papers/.
Apple Mac: Same setup, but the Obsidian vault path is /Users/user/Documents/obsidiannote.
Issue: The notes sync perfectly on my PC, but when I switch to my Mac, the synchronization fails. My understanding is that when I use the "Export Current Note" feature from Zotero Standalone, it stores the path for the exported markdown notes in Zotero's SQLite database. Since the paths differ between my PC and Mac (D://Obsidian/papers/ vs. /Users/user/Documents/obsidiannote), it seems to break the sync on my Mac.
What I'm Seeking: Is there a method or setting within Zotero, Better Notes, or Obsidian that can help maintain the sync of notes between these two applications on different devices? I'm looking for a solution that allows me to work seamlessly across my PC and Mac without losing the synchronization effect when editing notes.
Any advice, insights, or suggestions from developers or fellow users who've navigated similar issues would be greatly appreciated!
