What is this?

This package exposes a list of familiar words.

When should I use this?

Use this when you want to do readability things with natural language.

Use spache-formula for the formula.

Alternatively, you can use dale-chall, which has more words (about 3 000) and is more recent (1995).

Install

This package is ESM only. In Node.js (version 14.14+, 16.0+), install with npm:

npm install spache

In Deno with esm.sh:

import {spache} from 'https://esm.sh/spache@2'

In browsers with esm.sh:

Use

import {spache} from 'spache'

spache.length //=> 1063

console.log(spache.slice(0, 10))

Yields:

[ 'a',
  'able',
  'about',
  'above',
  'across',
  'act',
  'add',
  'afraid',
  'after',
  'afternoon' ]

API

This package exports the identifier spache. There is no default export.

Types

This package is fully typed with TypeScript. It exports no additional types.

Compatibility

This package is at least compatible with all maintained versions of Node.js. As of now, that is Node.js 14.14+ and 16.0+. It also works in Deno and modern browsers.
