The option to show effect links at the bottom of collapsed chat cards currently doesn't work with BAM

It's not really related to BAM. Effects from system actions aren't pulled out of the collapsed part.

The option shown is for item chat cards. It doesn't affect actions, see the note "excluding actions and attacks" in the description.

This is perhaps a bit misleading, as there are a few kinds of actions in the system.

One kind are, for lack of a better term, "Item Actions". They show up on the character sheet under strikes. These have historically not actually done anything. You click them, they post their description to chat. Same as any item in the inventory does, or a feat, or a spell icon.
The workbench option shown hides the text of item actions. So kind of confusing. It also hides equipment or feat chat cards.

There are also Actions. They don't appear on the character sheet. Most of the actions invoked by BAM are this kind. They actually do something, like make a roll.

There is another setting if you scroll down a bit, "Automatically collapse action chat card content." That's the one that affects the actions in BAM. At least most of them, some are macros. Demoralize is one of these. There isn't a extract effect link option for it.

But that might be nice.
