Hey everyone! This is the first of hopefully many community discussion posts that we’ll have over here in GitHub’s new Discussions page on Zebra’s repo. I hope this will be a great platform to discuss new features that we’re creating for Zebra so that users can have input on decisions we make.
Our first topic is the new Package Filters feature that will be released in Zebra 1.2.
Users have been asking for search bars in package listings and the ability to filter out sections from a package listing since the initial release of Zebra and they’re finally here!
To use the filters, you can click on the filter button next to the search bar. A new view will pop up and display the filters that are available to be applied to this list of packages.

Using the search bar behaves as you would expect, searching will filter the results in the list showing you packages that have names matching your search.
We’d like to hear your thoughts on the package filters. We want to know filters that we can add and how we can improve the feature for the final release of Zebra 1.2. If you have any bugs regarding the package filters, please file them over on our issues page. We’d like to keep discussion for improvements and discussion for issues separate.
