Change the date format to ISO 8601

I love the editor. :-) Only thing that really makes me want to use another one is the date format. As non-American I just cannot get used to the fact that months come ahead of days. I am always searching for the correct save and it makes me want to close Nom Nom. Can the date be shown in the international format (ISO 8601), please?
