I think that a more sane way to pull information from RabbitMQ is through the web management plugin. It is super easy to install and provides all the necessary information and is also more light-weight. There is already a Python CLI tool to pull the information and it should not be too difficult to adapt it to Zenoss. Further information: http://www.rabbitmq.com/management-cli.html
