Introduction

"AlzAware"

  • "AlzAware" is a cutting-edge application that utilizes advanced MRI scanning technology to detect and determine the level of Alzheimer's disease in patients.
  • This project was developed as a graduation project for the Faculty of Computer Science, Zagazig University.

Problem Statement

Alzheimer's disease is a progressive disorder that causes brain cells to degenerate and die. Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia — a continuous decline in thinking, behavioral and social skills that disrupts a person's ability to function independently. The early clinical symptoms of Alzheimer's disease are often confused with the effects of normal aging. However, the disease is fatal and advanced stages of the disease can lead to death. Early detection of Alzheimer's disease is crucial to slow down the progression of the disease and to improve the quality of life of the patient.

Solution

"AlzAware" is a cutting-edge application that utilizes advanced MRI scanning technology to detect and determine the level of Alzheimer's disease in patients. The application uses a machine learning model that is trained on a dataset of MRI images of patients with Alzheimer's disease. The model is able to accurately detect the presence of Alzheimer's disease in patients and determine the level of the disease based on the severity of the brain damage.

Web Application

  • User Authentication: Admin can log in to the application and create other Admins.
  • Upload MRI Images: Admin can upload MRI images of patients to the application.
  • Detect Alzheimer's Disease: The application uses a machine learning model to detect Alzheimer's disease in patients based on their MRI images.
  • Determine Disease Level: The application is able to determine the level of Alzheimer's disease in patients based on the severity of the brain damage.
  • View Patient Information: Admin can view the information of patients including their MRI images and the level of Alzheimer's disease detected.
  • Download Patient Report: Admin can download a report of the patient's information including the MRI images and the level of Alzheimer's disease detected.
  • Mange Patient Medicine and Relatives: Admin can manage the medicine and relatives of the patients.
  • Delete Patient Information: Admin can delete the information of patients from the application.

Mobile Application

Relative Model

  • User Authentication: Relative can log in to the application and Must be added by The Hospital Admin.
  • View Patient Information: Relative can view the information of patients including their MRI images and the level of Alzheimer's disease detected.
  • View Patient Medicine: Relative can view the medicine of the patients.

Normal User Model

  • User Authentication: Normal User can log in to the application.
  • Upload MRI Images: Normal User can upload MRI images of patients to the application.
  • Detect Alzheimer's Disease: The application uses a machine learning model to detect Alzheimer's disease in patients based on their MRI images.
  • Give Medical Advice: Normal User can give medical advice to the patients.
  • Track Results History: Normal User can track the results of MRI Scanned.
