How to Use GitGeek

Step 1: Install the Extension

• Click the "Download GitGeek" button above to download the extension .zip file.
• Unzip the file to a location on your computer.

Step 2: Load the Extension in Chrome

1. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/.
2. Enable Developer Mode by toggling the switch in the top-right corner.
3. Click Load unpacked and select the folder where you unzipped the extension.
4. You’ll now see GitGeek as your new tab page!

Step 3: Set Up Your Tools

Once the extension is installed and opened in a new tab, you'll have access to all the following features:

• Bookmarks:

  • Click on an empty "+" tile to add a new bookmark. Enter the URL and a title.
  • Your bookmarks will be saved for quick access.

• To-Do List:

  • Create, edit, and check off tasks.
  • Click "Add new todo" at the bottom of the list to add more tasks.

• Timer:

  • Set your desired hours, minutes, and seconds and click "Start" to begin the countdown.

• GitHub Username:

  • Enter your GitHub username in the input field, and GitGeek will display your account info—no login required!

• Code Editor:

  • Use the code editor to write and save snippets of code. Your code will automatically be stored locally in your browser.

• Calendar:

  • Stay organized with a fully functional calendar integrated into the extension.

• Time & Date:

  • The time and date will always be displayed at the top for quick reference.

Step 4: Customize and Enjoy

• Personalize your workspace to suit your needs.
