UpShare

UpShare is a web application that allows users to upload and share files with others. It provides a simple and convenient way to store and distribute files, making it easy for users to collaborate and exchange resources.

Installation

To set up UpShare locally, follow these steps:

  1. Clone the repository:

    git clone https://github.com/Aniket-lodh/upshare.git
    
  2. Install the required dependencies using npm:

    npm install
    
  3. Set up the environment variables:

    • Create a .env file in the project's root directory.
    • Define the following variables in the .env file:
      • MONGODB_URI: The URI for your MongoDB database.
      • SESSION_SECRET: A secret key used for session management.
      • PORT: The port on which the application will run (default is 3000).
  4. Start the application:

    npm start
    
  5. Access the application by navigating to http://localhost:3000 in your web browser.
