This is a shell script which enables the user to automatically install heasoft in an ubuntu or any debian based operating system.
The instructions to install are as follows:

Download the latest release of
install-heasoft.sh -
Make the script executable using
chmod u+x install-heasoft.sh -
Run it. Note: You will be asked for your super user password. You will also be prompted if you want the installation process output to be dumped in an extra log file. The default value is "no" and is used if there is no input
