I'm a passionate Software Engineer with over 8 years of experience in building responsive, dynamic web applications. I specialize in frontend development, using modern JavaScript frameworks like React and TypeScript. I currently work at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where I lead projects that improve scalability, security, and user experiences for millions of customers.
When I'm not coding, you'll find me mentoring students in STEM, contributing to the M.E.S.A. Club, or teaching STEM courses at the Latino Youth Summit at UW Madison. I love solving problems, learning new technologies, and building projects that help users in meaningful ways.

A web app that helps users discover cocktail recipes using the CocktailDB API. Built with React, it allows users to search for drinks, filter by ingredients, and explore new recipes in a user-friendly interface.

Que-Aburrido is an exciting, full-stack web application designed to help users discover fun activities when they’re bored, using the Bored API. Built with the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), this project provides a seamless user experience with both frontend and backend integration.

I am currently rebuilding my personal portfolio website, ArelySkywalker.dev, to explore and learn the Svelte framework. The goal is to create a modern, fast, and responsive site using Tailwind CSS and DaisyUI for a clean and accessible design system.
