BLOOP Browser Extension - Beta

BLOOP is the open source combo of 🔍 Search and 👯🏼 Social. Compatible with chromium browsers (Mozilla, Google Chrome, Arc). You can find it in the chrome store here.

2 things to know about BLOOP:

1. The more you bookmark (save), the more easily you can meet other people who like the same stuff
2. The more people you connect with (frens), the better your Search will be. Your BLOOP search will take in the combined saves of you and your frens

Development

Note: in order to test the code with the working backend, please message hi[at]getbloop[dot]co with your email and the title "BLOOP beta - backend." You may need an Android phone for this. Thank you!

1. Install dependencies.

yarn install

2. After development of the extension, run the following command. This will create a production build.

yarn run build

3. Now, the build folder will appear in the root directory.

4. Select Developer mode in your browser extensions tab.

5. Select Load unpacked extension and open the build folder.

To test the latest updates of the extension, download the extension.zip asset file from the releases.
