Stikman's Legend version 1.0.1! This version rebalances a few enemies and features, and a few bugs have been patched. Tooltips now pop up in dialogue boxes and the menu to help with navigating. Enjoy!

Additions

  • Version header on title screen
  • Tooltips in the dialogue box and C menu that update with the selected control settings

Changes

  • The name of Stikman's Legend appears one pixel lower on the title screen to render better in the Scratch editor
  • Stikman's dialogue portrait no longer has a chance to appear in the C menu
  • Reduced Bootrap's movement speed from 75 to 67.5 pixels-per-second
  • Reduced bootrap2's movement speed from 90 to 75 pixels-per-second
  • Reduced bootrap2's health from 25 to 20
  • Relocated the Wooden Bow to be more noticeable by the player
  • The player's arrows are now fully restocked when respawning
  • Diamond Crates are now unusable during boss fights

Technical changes

This information may be useful for those who have remixed or are planning to remix Stikman's Legend.

  • Renamed global player invicibility variable to player invincibility
  • Removed unused local invincibility variable in the player sprite
  • Removed unused costumes in the sticks sprite
  • Reduced total amount of clones used by the map and collision sprites from 162 to 6

Bug fixes

  • Correctly aligned the player's swimming animations when in water
  • Corrected a typo in the final boss's introductory dialogue
  • The Map item's UI is now hidden in the final cutscene and credits

Stikman's Legend release 1.0.0! The game is completely beatable with three bosses, two different weapons, and end credits. Title screen music and credits music were by my good friend MaxwelFISH.

Additions

Compared to the work-in-progress available just before:

  • A new final boss
  • Nighttime and morning time via sleeping in tent during certain parts of story
  • Improved credits
  • New enemies and enemy spawns
  • Several bug fixes
