Configure Alternative Nicknames

In DMDirc, alternate nicknames are governed by your current profile. To view and edit your profiles, open the profile manager dialog:

1. Click on the “Settings” menu
2. Click on the “Profile manager” item

You can select profiles using the left, or click on the “Add” button in the lower left to create a new one. You can then view a list of nicknames on the right. DMDirc will try these nicknames in order until it finds a free one. If it runs out of nicknames it will go back to the first and append numbers until an unused nickname is found.

You can add, edit and delete nicknames from the list using the three buttons in the middle. You can also drag and drop each item in the nicknames list to reorder them.
