hm, this kinda duplicates what's in docs/ACCOUNTS.md (which is more verbose but I think that's fine for now). For now I think it's best to have the README just link to ACCOUNTS

I agree with link docs/ACCOUNTS.md to the main repo. Maybe the intro readme can also include a "what is working" list like the picopds predecessor readme had. As a new user, I usually take a quick glance at the intro read me if it doesn't seem very explanatory, I move on.

@DavidBuchanan314 I'm very interested in this project and commend you for giving this as a baseline guide (which I definitely used in starting my own PDS).

Quick question.. I'm getting a bit lost in the sauce on did-creation and posting events TO the stream. I am familiar with consuming the firehose, this applications seems to create new accounts on a new repo. Can these private server did:plc event creations published to Bluesky?

Also, I will create a PR that adds my suggestion.

regarding "what is working", basically everything works aside from what's documented as not-working in the various open issues.

Can these private server did:plc event creations published to Bluesky?

That's kind the whole point. PDSes are not private, the aim is to publish events to any downstream service that'll listen.
