Shelly

What Is That?

Devices in the Shelly family are IoT nodes connected to the Internet over WiFi. Both v1 and v2 devices are supported (Shelly and Shelly-NG).

Shelly cloud functionality is not required. All communication is done via the local WiFi network.

Supported features

• Automatic device discovery via mDNS
• On/off switching, multiple switches per device
• Power meter usage (v1)
• External temperature + humidity sensor data (v1)
• Link to web interface
• Authentication (v1 only)

Switch icons

The "appliance type" setting is used to determine the switch icon in the shelly device view.

All pre-defined Shelly v2 types are supported:

• lights
• socket
• heating
• entertainment

These devices are confirmed to work with HomeApp:

• Shelly 1
• Shelly Plug S
• Shelly Plus 1 (v2)
• Shelly 2.5 (switch only, not shutter mode)
• Shelly Pro 4 PM
