By day, I'm an engineer; by night, I'm a writer, researcher, and computer science professor. My previous research examined the psychological and social factors that affect patterns of information disclosure on social media. Currently, I am investigating the use of physiological sensors for stress detection and assessing discrepancies in self-awareness among stressed individuals. My research interests are diverse and include neuropsychological and sociocultural influences on human-computer interactions, computational social science, social ideation systems and communities, as well as the application of physiological sensors in HCI or psychological research.
In the past, I've worked on several microservice and website projects that I've since open-sourced. My work experience includes enterprise API development, distributed network and sensor systems, military helicopter and fixed wing flight training simulators, e-commerce B2B solutions, and benefit administration platforms.
