Armour Class Basics

There are three armor classes in Evolution RTS: Light, Armored, and Building. The Light and Armored classes belong to mobile units ; Building is reasonably self-explanatory. These are important as most units are efficient only against certain armor types, and will inflict somewhat lower damage (usually about half, but sometimes more or less. Usually less) against other targets.

Each weapon in the game is modified by the armor class of what that weapon is hitting. That said, while this has the potential to be extremely confusing, each unit on the battlefield has a little icon next to it that shows what type of armor it does the most damage to.

One bullet means that it does the most damage to Light Armor

3 Bullets means that it does the most damage to armored.

An explosion icon means that it does the most damage to buildings.

Armored units have a special icon next to them. This icon is a grey hexagon with a white inner hexagon.

It might seem like the armor classes are difficult to understand, but in actuality, they are pretty straightforward. You will, of course, need to get a feel for the game and how the units interact with one another. Much of that will simply take practice and become familiar with the gameplay, but it is quite simple to understand once you see it in action.
