Big release!

This version includes an entirely new frontend, redesigned from the ground up. This helps us share more code between the frontend and the backend, making it easier to add a few long-awaited features like tri-state flags.

There is no Windows executable for this release. There is a console app, though, and it's compatible with the same JSON preset files as the web version. We have plans to bring back a cross-platform downloadable version of the randomizer, but this will likely happen much later this year (second half at the earliest).

New Features:

  • Much sexier UI (look at them pixels)
  • Tri-state flags (you don't know whether the flag is enabled or disabled until you play the game)
  • Tavern Mode (check the Party tab)
  • Randomize enemy status attacks (vs. shuffling the existing ones)
  • Allow all encounters to be unrunnable
  • WarMECH Unleashed mode -- WarMECH might be found in lots of places!
  • Better trap treasure -- treasures with nearby forced encounters are likely to contain better loot
  • Freebies -- start the game with the ship, airship, canal, or bridge
  • Better incentive logic -- the UI can now tell you how many incentivized items and locations there will be
  • Several tweaks to entrance shuffle logic
  • Zozo Melmond
  • Static EXP Distribution
  • Critical Hit count display
  • Experimental features that will likely be moved into more permanent locations in the UI:
    • Procedural Maps
    • Shuffle original FIEND fights
    • NPC Guillotine
    • Disable Overworld saving
    • Disable INN saving
    • Completely randomized encounters (Enemizer)
