What's this release
OVA is a file format that supports the exchange of VMWare virtual appliances across products and platforms. With this release, you can download a pre-built Chromium OS image that has been converted to VMDK and tested under VMWare client with optimal configuration. All you need to do is to import this ova file into your VMWare Workstation or VMWare Fusion, then click the massive play button and enjoy.
Other things to note
- The minimum required versions of VMWare clients are Workstation 15 & Fusion 11. Lower versions won't work.
- This Chromium OS is a test image, therefore it contains publically available private keys and it's deemed insecure by nature. Do not use it under the production environment or store any valuable data on it.
- Default shell login details:
chronos/test0000
