Turns out that
opt-einsum
is an optional extra dependency, and is not required! I've also filed an issue with theopt-einsum
repo, asking them to make a new release on PyPI where the sources can compile on Python 3.12. Once they do, we can re-add this optional extra dependency to the Pytorch formula.
