DwarfCraft is a Minecraft plugin that enhances your roleplaying experience in Minecraft. You can choose one of four races and train your skills and abilities with DwarfCraft Trainers. DwarfCraft has about a hundred skills that you can learn and level up. You can also cooperate with other players and roleplay your race. The races are:
- Dwarf: The miners and diggers of the world. They can mine more efficiently, find more ores, and excavate large chunks of land. They provide the other races with the resources they need for crafting and building. If you are a fan of mining, you will enjoy being a Dwarf.
- Gnome: The crafters and builders of the world. They can brew potions, make items, and construct buildings. They are also skilled at using redstone and creating machines. They provide the other races with the tools and equipment they need for their activities. If you are a fan of building, you will enjoy being a Gnome.
- Elf: The fighters and hunters of the world. They can deal more damage to animals and mobs, get more loot, and gain more experience levels. They are also proficient at archery and exploration. They protect the other races from dangers and enemies. If you are a fan of fighting, you will enjoy being an Elf.
- Human: The helpers and farmers of the world. They can smelt ores, chop wood, cook food, fish, and farm crops. They are great at gathering wood and processing resources from the other races. They also assist the other races with their needs. If you are a fan of helping, you will enjoy being a Human.

DwarfCraft encourages players to work together and roleplay their race. A factions-based server design is highly encouraged for this plugin. By default, four races are provided for players to choose from. When players first join the Minecraft world they are asked to choose a race or given the default race if one is provided in the config.
Each race will specialize in a few skills and allows players to master these skills by leveling them to a much higher level. These specializations are core to their race and will provide benefits to players of other races. Each race is designed around a different style of play such as mining, crafting, combat, or support.
DwarfCraft modifies the vanilla experience of Minecraft to add more challenge to the early game and allow players to work together. As such players will break tools faster, take more damage, gather fewer resources, or craft less until they level their skills.
