Conversion is the process of transforming Kethane to any number of resources, including liquid fuel, oxidizer, and monopropellant at varying levels of efficiency via a KE–C090 Medium Converter Unit or KE–C190 Heavy Converter Unit. The conversion process requires electricity and produces heat; excess heat will reduce the rate of conversion.

Configuring Ship Converters

In order to configure the converter so it may properly fill tanks, it must be setup such that there is a fuel line leading from the lowest tank in the hierarchy to the converter. In simple terms, treat the converter as you would an engine. This is because, in function, the converter is subtracting negative fuel from the tanks it needs to fill.
