This is the Pinout configuration I used for this project. Feel free to change it up as required, just be sure to let the piProbe application know which pin you're using for the 1-Wire interface.

Raspberry Pi 3b/3b+ GPIO Pinout

Below is a diagram of the GPIO Pinout for the Pi 3b and Pi 3b+: Pinout

Install the probe on the Pi using pins:

  • Pin 1 - 3.3v power (+)
  • Pin 7 (GPIO 4) - GPIO 1-Wire data out
  • Pin 9 - Ground (-)
